Living Vs Existing

I think the difference between living and existing comes down to, are you getting the most out of life, or just getting by?

Living life to the fullest each and every day helps give us courage and drive to move forward through life during struggles or difficult times. Living life to the fullest helps the mind practice thinking outside the box, giving one’s mind a greater sense of inspiration, knowledge, and wisdom. During difficult moments in life, having the drive to live everything out to the fullest can challenge ones ability to self-motivate and move forward to a new stage in life, thus building character and strength.

Existing, on the other hand, is the opposite of living. To me, existing is living to the bare minimum..giving life that bare minimum doesn’t give you the purposeful experiences you need to have in order to live a life of abundant positivity and wisdom. Just existing in this life will not bring you as much satisfaction and happiness as being proactive and making the most of this life we have. Negative affects are bound to come with existing, whereas living only brings inspiration and joy.

Going through life on “auto-pilot” is a mundane lifestyle. Yes, one can go their entire life existing in this world..But when the end is near and you look back at your life, wouldn’t you want to have done more? Are you living the rest of your life by yourself or for yourself, not allowing yourself to progress into more meaningful experiences and times? The last thing anyone would want to feel at the end of time is regret for not pursuing a dream, or acting on an experience. So our goal is to dream often and pursue people and things that will better our lives and the lives around us. Say yes more than you say no. Break free from a mundane lifestyle and dare to do things you’ve never thought of accomplishing. Appreciate the little things in life and grow in your faith. Go out of your way to help someone in need and travel to experience things you’ve never seen before! Don’t just get by in life, rather, make a life worth remembering and reflecting on!
